A Stress-Free Holiday Season - Giving ourselves permission to enjoy the Holidays

As the holiday season approaches, we find ourselves amidst the glittering allure of parties and heartwarming gatherings with friends and family. It's a season brimming with excitement and celebration. Yet, beneath the festive veneer, it can usher in a wave of stress and overwhelming expectations.

Year after year, many of us pledge to scale back, to savor the moments rather than sprint through them. Despite our best intentions, we often find ourselves caught in the same whirlwind of holiday hustle, ending the year in a state of exhaustion.

On a personal note, this year, however, marks a turning point. After 22 years of adhering to the tradition of sending holiday cards, I've taken a step back. This decision did not come lightly, but it's a testament to a year dedicated to self-love and prioritizing well-being. So, to my dear friends and family, I'm officially announcing there will be no Christmas or holiday card from me this year.

This act of self-care is my way of giving myself permission to breathe, to step away from the relentless pressure of holiday perfection. It's a chance to realign with what truly matters - not the glossy, picture-perfect moments but the genuine, unscripted joy of the season.

The debate of whether to send a New Year's card lingers, but I'm leaning towards embracing the digital age. Perhaps a heartfelt post online will suffice, reaching out to loved ones across the globe in a single, thoughtful gesture. This decision is still pending.

As we dive into the festivities, let's remind ourselves of the true essence of the holidays. It's not about keeping up with the Joneses or succumbing to societal pressures. It's about being authentically you, cherishing the people in your life, and creating meaningful memories.

So, this holiday season, join me in shedding the unnecessary burdens. Let's focus on love, laughter, and the simple joys that make this time of year so special. Merry Christmas to all, and here's to a season filled with peace, joy, and genuine happiness.

Merry Christmas 🎄
